See below for more information and prices.
The Family / Private Coasteer
Intensity level: Low
Guaranteed small group coasteers specifically designed around the capability and wishes of the whole group. Learn the fundamentals of coasteering, including ocean awareness, climbing skills, cliff traversing and jumping techniques. The coasteer will also include a running description of the local wildlife and geology which is a unique learning experience for the whole family.
Family coasteers will primarily focus on Low tides where more areas are accessible for exploring. This also takes the emphasis off the larger jumps. However if jumping is your main aim then we can easily organise a Higher tide coasteer.
Private family coasteer (recommended)
£50 per person, based on a minimum of 4 people. For every 6 members, one member will go for free, eg a roup of six will cost £250.
The Eco Coasteer
Intensity level: Low
Coasteering is a unique opportunity to see the local coastline from a close up perspective. With our experienced and knowledgeable coasteer leaders you will be guided through caves, sluices and whirlpools that all provide delicate and unusual ecosystems for the local wildlife to flourish in.
Eco coasteering is great for school groups and families but would be a perfect activity for anyone wishing to learn more about the ocean environment. During the course you will meet some of the inquisitive wildlife that live around the coastline including the Cornish Grey Seal, the rare kittiwait gulls and possibly even dolphins. We’ll help you identify the different fauna, flora and twisting geology along the way and also make you aware of the fragility and conservation of these coastal areas to help preserve and protect for years to come.
£40 per person – group discounts apply.
*Eco coasteers are best around low tide. Thus times of departure will change daily to suit the tidal position.
The Low tide Coasteer
Intensity level: low-Medium
As the tide recedes the once deep and mystical coastline becomes exposed, opening up a completely new and adventurous route. The low tide coasteer leads you on a tour through dark, water filled caves home to friendly grey seals and opens your eyes to the incredible local fauna and flora around the rigid coastal geology. You will be squeezing through tight sluices and whirlpools, and stumbling over thick beds of swaying seaweed as you make your way around.
The route also uncovers remnants of local history with remains of old smugglers caves dotted along inside the deeper larger caves! The route, depending on the size of the tide will still provide opportunities to test your fears on some deep water jumps yet this is not the main emphasis for the low tide coasteer.
£40 per person – group discounts apply.
The North coast adventure (High Tide)
Intensity: Low to high
The north coast adventure is for the ultimate thrill seeker! Once the tide has pushed in over the previously exposed seaweed and mussel covered rocks and the deep cavernous pathways have all but disappeared, the high and testing cliff jumps all become accessible for a considerable amount of action.
Prepare yourself for breathtaking leaps of up to 10 metres out over hanging ledges that include the infamous seagulls and triple jump. Get twisted around in Swirling whirlpools, compose yourself for challenging traverses and swim through fast running gullies. The guides’ main focus for all coasteer routes is the safety and wellbeing of the client, there will never be a jump un-tested and will never force anyone to do what they cannot manage. However they will provide adequate motivation to push people to their limit!
£40 per person – group discounts apply.
The All Dayer Coasteer
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone wishing to experience a High tide and a Low tide coasteer in the same day. You will track the same path in both but you will struggle to find any similarities between the two!
It is the ultimate adventure and the best way to get the full coasteer experience.
£70 per person (saving £10) – group discounts apply.
Jet Coasteer
Our newest and most unique coasteer offers all the attractions of the above but adds the twist of some jet power to increase adrenaline!
Part way through your coasteer, members of the group will be partnered up and led by one of our Coasteer leaders into open water where they are picked up by our Hawaiian surf rescue sled and taught how to hold on to it safely as a pair.
Our Yamaha Wave Runner Jet Ski will then draw you through the water at pace for a ten minute ride to the next point on the coasteer route (this ‘jet ski pick up technique is the same method used by Hawaiian big wave surfers during tow surfing wipe outs when they rescue their colleagues from huge waves situations – your driver is specifically trained in this technique). To experience the awesome jet power adds an incredible new aspect to the coasteer and will leave you buzzing.
The jet ski ride takes just over 10 minutes and then you will re-join the coasteer to continue the mission. You will experience some of the following:
a visit to the Cribbar big wave surfing reef, a trip to inaccessible coves which home the local seal population, while on the ski you will enjoy big wake turns, carving rail slides, donut spins and a cruise around Fistral Bay or Newquay’s legendary Tea Cavern caves.
An extra £10 per person to add the jet ski aspect to any of the coasteer’s above.
